Education
Why study in Australia?
Study at world-class universities and colleges, enjoy a safe and welcoming lifestyle, and explore post-study work options if you’re eligible.
A world-class education
Australian universities, vocational colleges and English language schools are known worldwide for the quality of their teaching and research. International students can choose from a wide range of courses, from English and vocational qualifications to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
Protected as an international student
Every provider that teaches international students must be registered on CRICOS (the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students). Australia’s ESOS framework sets standards for the quality of your education and protects your rights.
Work while you study, and after you graduate
Student visa holders can currently work up to 48 hours per fortnight during study periods, and unlimited hours during scheduled course breaks. After graduating, eligible students may apply for a Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) to gain work experience in Australia.
